Moroccan Fahd Moufi Joins Russian League on Free Transfer
Saturday 09-08-2025
Russian club Orenburg announced today, Saturday, that it has officially signed Moroccan right-back Fahd Moufi on a free transfer, coming from Wydad Casablanca, which recently terminated his contract.

Moufi was born in France and began his football career at the Olympique Lyon academy, before moving to Sedan, and then had a professional stint in the Portuguese league with Tondela and Portimonense, in addition to a short period in the Croatian league.

The player joined Wydad in 2023 and participated with them in several occasions, most notably the FIFA Club World Cup, but his career with the team did not last long after his contract was terminated in the current summer transfer window, paving the way for his move to the Russian league.

Moufi has previously represented the Moroccan national team under 20 years old and has also played with the senior national team in some matches, but he has not succeeded in securing a regular spot in the lineup.
