Marseille Moves to Snatch Union Target from Milan
Saturday 09-08-2025
The French club Olympique Marseille has intensified its efforts to sign Algerian Ismaël Bennacer, the midfield star of Italian Milan, who tops the list of interests for the Saudi Union during the ongoing summer transfer window.

According to the French website 'Le 10 Sport', Marseille has made a new offer to Milan to loan Bennacer, considering him a priority for coach Roberto De Zerbi, but the Italian club rejected the proposal without disclosing the details of the required terms.

The Algerian player has other external offers, including serious interest from the Saudi Union, which is looking to strengthen its midfield amid speculations about the departure of Brazilian Fabinho from the team.

Marseille had secured Bennacer's services in the winter of 2025 on a loan basis until the end of the season, during which he played 12 matches and provided two assists.

Milan is preparing to finalize the future of its Algerian international player in the coming weeks, amid increasing competition between Marseille and the Union to sign him before the transfer window closes.
