Results of the Preliminary Draw for the African Confederation Cup
The African Confederation Cup 2026 will witness the participation of some distinguished clubs, most notably Al-Zamalek from Egypt, Wydad from Morocco, and Esperance from Tunisia.
CAF has decided to exempt 6 teams from participating in the preliminary round of the African Confederation Cup, which are: Wydad from Morocco, Al-Zamalek from Egypt, Al-Masry from Port Said, CR Belouizdad from Algeria, Al-Ittihad from Algeria, and Stellenbosch from South Africa.
The matches of the African Confederation Cup will take place with the first preliminary round matches on September 19, ending with the return matches on September 28, 2025.
Al-Zamalek will face the winner of the match between Dekedaha and Al-Zamalek Sudan in the Round of 32.
Wydad from Morocco will face the winner of the match between Asante Kotoko from Ghana and Kwara United in the Round of 32.
The Ethiopian team Wolaita Dicha will face the second qualified team from Libya for the Confederation Cup in the first preliminary round of the competition, while Al-Masry from Port Said awaits the qualified team to face it in the second round.
