Azeddine Ounahi Approaches Departure from Marseille
Friday 08-08-2025
Moroccan international Azeddine Ounahi, a player for Olympique Marseille, is heading towards leaving the team during the current summer transfer window, as he has fallen out of favor with the new coach Roberto De Zerbi.

The French website Top Mercato revealed that Greek club Panathinaikos is eager to permanently sign Ounahi, after he played for them last season on loan.

The source indicated that the Greek club made an initial offer valued at 5 million euros, plus an additional 3 million to be paid in 2026, along with a clause granting Marseille 15% of any future sale profits of the player.

Despite the total value of the offer reaching 8 million euros, Marseille's management rejected it, preferring to receive a higher amount.

The same source pointed out that Panathinaikos considers Ounahi one of its main targets in the current transfer market, making it ready to submit a new offer, especially after boosting its budget with the sale of Georgios Vagiannidis to Benfica for 13 million euros.
