Al-Nassr Saudi Arabia has reached a preliminary agreement with Spanish defender Inigo Martinez, preparing to sign him in a free transfer during the ongoing summer transfer window.

The signing of Martinez comes as part of the club's efforts to strengthen the defense, especially with Emerick Laporte nearing departure, and after the management backed out of signing Slovak defender David Hancko.

According to the Spanish newspaper "Mundo Deportivo", the contract agreed upon by both parties extends for two seasons, with a clause allowing Martinez to leave after the first season if he wishes, depending on his age and how well he adapts to the environment and culture in Saudi Arabia.

Al-Nassr is expected to officially announce the deal in the coming hours, after reaching a complete agreement with the player.
