Newcastle United is planning to move again to sign Yoane Wissa, the striker of the English team Brentford, during the current summer transfer window.

Sky Sports revealed that Newcastle is preparing to make a new offer after Brentford seeks to sign a replacement striker before agreeing to Wissa's departure.

The Congolese striker has confirmed his desire to move to Newcastle, ready to travel as soon as he gets the green light, while Wissa's representatives are expected to arrive in the UK soon for negotiations.

Wissa recently returned to participate in Brentford's training after missing the team's camp in Portugal, and he has an impressive record with the club, having scored 49 goals and provided 13 assists in 149 official matches since joining in the summer of 2021 from French club Lorient.

Brentford faces significant challenges in maintaining its place in the Premier League for the 2025/2026 season, especially after the departure of coach Thomas Frank along with players Bryan Mbeumo and Christian Norgaard.
