English club Manchester City announced through its official account on the 'X' platform that its young Brazilian defender Vitor Reis has been loaned to Spanish club Girona for one season, during the current summer transfer window in preparation for the 2025/2026 season.

The club clarified in its statement that Reis, who is 19 years old, will join Girona, one of the clubs in the City Football Group, to gain more regular playing time under coach Michel, starting his journey in La Liga with a match against Rayo Vallecano on August 15.

Manchester City had signed Reis last January from Brazilian Palmeiras, with a contract extending until the summer of 2029, while the loan to Girona will be an important step in his technical development.

Vitor Reis has played three matches in a City shirt, starting in the matches against Leyton Orient and Plymouth Argyle in the FA Cup, and also appearing as a substitute against Leicester City in the Premier League.
