A Saudi press report revealed the truth behind the rumors regarding the German Matthias Yaissle, coach of Al-Ahli club, requesting the management to transfer Belgian Mattieu Dams to the reserve team, in preparation for his departure during the ongoing summer transfer period.
According to the reports, Yaissle wants Dams to continue with the team and does not consider moving him to the reserves next season, due to his admiration for his technical abilities.
It is worth mentioning that Dams joined Al-Ahli's ranks last January, coming from PSV Eindhoven for 10 million euros.
Al-Ahli Jeddah is preparing to face Al-Qadisiyah in the semi-finals of the Saudi Super Cup on August 20 in Hong Kong.
