Inzaghi Decides Malcom's Fate with Al-Hilal

Friday 08-08-2025
Italian coach Simone Inzaghi has decided to keep Brazilian Malcom Filipe within the ranks of Al-Hilal, putting an end to speculation about the player's future during the current summer transfer window.

The Saudi newspaper "Al-Yawm" confirmed that Inzaghi does not plan to part ways with Malcom, viewing him as one of the offensive pillars he will rely on in the upcoming season.

Malcom's name had been linked to a potential departure from Al-Hilal following a dispute that arose between him and some of the team's fans after the loss to Fluminense by two goals to one in the quarter-finals of the Club World Cup last month.

Malcom joined Al-Hilal in the summer of 2023 from Zenit St. Petersburg, in a massive deal worth 65 million euros, making him one of the club's most expensive signings in its history.

Al-Hilal continues to bolster its squad this summer, having completed three notable signings including Theo Hernandez, Abdul Karim Dararisi, and Ali Lajami, as part of the team's plans to compete in all tournaments.
