Italian Como enters the race to sign Iñaki Peña

Spanish newspaper "Mundo Deportivo" revealed that Italian club Como is considering signing goalkeeper Iñaki Peña, a Barcelona player, during the ongoing summer transfer window to strengthen the goalkeeping position in the team led by coach Cesc Fabregas.

Peña, who is 26 years old, is among the most prominent names likely to leave Barcelona this summer, especially after his absence from the team's Asian tour and his meeting with sporting director Deco to discuss his future.

According to reports, the presence of Fabregas at the helm of Como's coaching staff is an attractive factor for the Spanish goalkeeper, at a time when the player also has an offer from the Turkish league, specifically from Galatasaray, where he was loaned to during the 2021/2022 season.

Iñaki Peña has one season left on his contract with Barcelona, with the possibility of extending it for an additional season, amidst possibilities of selling him or temporarily renewing his contract to facilitate a loan, aiming to alleviate financial fair play restrictions on the Catalan club.

Peña is expected to leave Barcelona in the coming weeks in search of regular playing opportunities, after proving his worth every time he participated with the first team.
