Liverpool Sets Strict Conditions Before Moving to Replace Nunez
Thursday 07-08-2025
Sky Sports reported that English club Liverpool has reached an agreement with Saudi club Al-Hilal regarding the sale of Uruguayan striker Darwin Nunez for 53 million euros, in addition to incentives and bonuses.

As Nunez approaches an official departure, reports indicate that Liverpool's management will not move to sign a direct replacement unless under precise and strict conditions, the most important of which is that the new striker must be able to enter the starting lineup of coach Arne Slot from day one, alongside considering the financial costs of the deal.

Nunez joined the Reds in the summer of 2022 from Portuguese Benfica for 85 million euros, which means that Liverpool will record a financial loss if the current deal is completed.

It is worth noting that Nunez's name has been linked with a departure since last winter's transfers, amid reports of tension in his relationship with Liverpool's management and coaching staff.
