Newcastle Excludes Isak from Team Training
Newcastle United has decided to exclude its Swedish striker Alexander Isak from the team's collective training amid uncertainties surrounding his future during the ongoing summer transfer window.
According to reports, Isak recently informed Newcastle's management of his desire to leave, expressing interest in joining Liverpool, which made a formal offer amounting to £120 million, a proposal that was rejected by Newcastle's management.
Isak missed Newcastle's preparatory tour in Asia, as the club announced he was suffering from a thigh injury, before later appearing at the training ground of his former club Real Sociedad.
The Swedish player recently returned to Newcastle's training grounds; however, the British newspaper "The Guardian" revealed that he was asked to train separately from the other players and was also excluded from attending the barbecue organized by coach Eddie Howe for the team, coaching staff, and their families, with his joining postponed until the afternoon.
It is worth mentioning that Isak joined Newcastle in the summer of 2022 from Real Sociedad for £60 million, participating in 42 matches last season, during which he scored 27 goals and assisted 6.
