Shobair Responds to Critics of the Number of Professionals at Zamalek
Media figure Ahmed Shobair, a former star of Al Ahly, responded to a follower's criticism regarding the high number of foreign players at Zamalek.
The follower questioned in a message directed to Shobair during his radio program about the impact of this on the national team's interests.
The follower's message stated: "Zamalek has 5 professionals, 3 Palestinians, and a Moroccan player under the age limit, and there are still negotiations to include the Palestinian Hamid Hamdan from Petrojet.. So where is the national team's interest in what is happening?"
Shobair replied, saying: "Zamalek has exploited the regulations and worked within them.. He should not be blamed, but rather the system that allowed these loopholes to exist."
