Newcastle Plans to Make an Offer for Ibrahim Diaz
Wednesday 06-08-2025
Reports indicate that Newcastle United is preparing to make a significant financial offer to acquire Moroccan star Ibrahim Diaz from Real Madrid during the current summer transfer window.

Diaz has a contract with Real Madrid that runs until June 30, 2027, is 26 years old, and several European clubs have shown interest in signing the player before the new season begins.

The Spanish website 'Defense Central' revealed that Newcastle United is looking to strengthen its squad, especially if Alexander Isak leaves for Liverpool for over 140 million euros this summer. The website noted that the English club is preparing an offer ranging between 40 and 50 million euros to sign Diaz, provided that Real Madrid agrees to let him go.

The source added that Real Madrid may not easily accept the offer unless Diaz requests to leave himself, as he is expected to play a key role with Newcastle at St. James' Park. Additionally, the Premier League suits his playing style, especially after his previous experience with Manchester City under Pep Guardiola.

Ibrahim Diaz played 31 matches with Real Madrid in La Liga during the 2024/2025 season, managing to score 4 goals and provide 2 assists.
