Saad Qais comments on Mimy's move to the UAE League
Amid the ongoing controversy surrounding the departure of the top stars of Al-Shorta Club during the summer transfer market, specifically after the announcement of international star Mohanad Ali "Mimy" moving to Dibba Al-Fujairah in the UAE, former Iraqi star Saad Qais made balanced statements defending the management's decision and expressing his wishes for the player's success in his new Gulf experience.
Saad Qais said:
"Regarding Mimy, this is professionalism, and I wish him all the best in his new journey, as I wish success to any player leaving the local league for abroad"
He added:
"Mimy's contract with the UAE team will bring great benefits to Al-Shorta Club, both financially and in terms of highlighting the team's names in the Gulf market, and thus I believe that allowing him to pursue a professional career is a distinctive and well-thought-out plan by the management of Al-Shorta Club"
When asked if he thinks Mohanad Ali will succeed in the UAE league, he replied:
"We hope that there will be a successful Iraqi player in the Gulf leagues, especially in the UAE league, and if this success is achieved, it will ultimately benefit the Iraqi national team, as it provides the player with additional experiences and stronger challenges"
