Atletico Madrid Plans to Sign a New Striker
Tuesday 05-08-2025
Spanish newspaper "AS" revealed that Atletico Madrid is preparing to finalize a new attacking deal during the current summer transfer window, following the failure of its previous attempt to sign Frenchman Enzo Milot.

The Madrid club aims to complete its seventh signing this summer, as coach Diego Simeone has discussed several attacking options to strengthen his squad, which currently includes 21 players, alongside Carlos Martin, who is close to leaving and is not part of the team's plans for the upcoming season.

According to the report, Atletico is focusing on signing a decisive striker within the penalty area at a reasonable price, with Italian Giacomo Raspadori at the top of the candidate list, as he is highly regarded by Simeone.

Nigerian Ademola Lookman also stands out among the club's interests, but his club is demanding a fee of 50 million euros for his sale. Lookman was close to transferring to Inter Milan, but the halt in negotiations has brought Atletico Madrid back into the race to sign him.
