Portuguese player Gonçalo Guedes has returned to La Liga this summer, after joining Real Sociedad, according to press reports released today, Monday.

Guedes arrived at the Real Sociedad hotel accompanied by sporting director Eric Abidal, in preparation for signing the contract with the Basque club, as reported by the Spanish newspaper "AS".

The newspaper revealed that the transfer of Guedes from English club Wolverhampton to Real Sociedad cost the latter about 4 million euros, in addition to 2 million euros as potential variables.

It is worth mentioning that the 28-year-old Guedes is no stranger to La Liga competitions, having previously played for Valencia and Villarreal, scoring 36 goals and providing 30 assists in 178 matches with Valencia, while he played 19 matches with Villarreal, scoring 3 goals and assisting another 3.

Guedes is the second signing for Real Sociedad this summer, following the acquisition of Croatian defender Duje Ćaleta-Car on loan from Olympique Lyon.
