Reports have revealed the possibility of Lucas Vazquez continuing in La Liga after his journey with Real Madrid comes to an end following the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup.

The royal club had previously announced that last season would be Vazquez's final one in the team's jersey, and a formal farewell ceremony was held for him about three weeks ago, with the 34-year-old player yet to sign with any club.

According to the Spanish newspaper "Marca," Espanyol has shown interest in signing Vazquez, who excels in playing as a winger and full-back, as the club seeks reinforcements.

It is noteworthy that Vazquez grew up in Real Madrid's academy and played the 2014/2015 season in Espanyol's jersey before returning to the royal first team, and his name has recently been linked to several clubs, including Turkish side Fenerbahçe.
