The Police Club announced its decision to adopt the International People's Stadium as its presumed ground during the Iraqi Stars League matches for the 2025/2026 football season, while choosing Al-Zawraa Stadium to host its matches in the Asian Champions League.

This decision came as a result of the incomplete construction work on the new Police Stadium, which is still under development, forcing the management of the Green Lyre to resort to alternative stadiums to meet the requirements of local and continental competitions.

The club's management aims to ensure the best technical conditions for its players, especially as the team faces strong competitions on several fronts this season, most notably the Asian championship, where fans hope the team will represent Iraqi football honorably.

On another note, sources close to the club indicated that work on the Police Stadium project is progressing at an advanced pace, but it will not be ready for official reliance in the near future, prompting the management to adopt this temporary arrangement until the sports edifice specific to the club is completed.
