Isaac Returns to Newcastle Training Amid Liverpool Interest
Monday 04-08-2025
Swedish striker Alexander Isaac returned to training with his team Newcastle on Monday morning after a period of absence that saw increased talk about his desire to leave the team during the current summer transfer window.

Isaac had been training individually during the past period at his former club Real Sociedad, due to his absence from Newcastle's training camp in Singapore. According to Sky Sports, he was spotted arriving at Newcastle's training center after returning from Spain on Saturday.

Newcastle announced that the reason for Isaac's absence was a thigh injury, for which he traveled to San Sebastián to complete his rehabilitation phase with his personal medical team.

This comes at a time when discussions about the player's potential departure are increasing, after Liverpool made a formal offer to sign him for £120 million, which was rejected by Newcastle, who still insists that Isaac is not for sale.

Isaac joined Newcastle in the summer of 2022 from Real Sociedad for £60 million, and he has three years remaining on his current contract. However, the club has begun to explore alternative attacking options, having made a £69 million bid for Benjamin Sesko from Leipzig, a bid that is close to the demands of the German club.
