The Saudi club Al-Hilal has officially moved to reach a final agreement with English club Liverpool to acquire the Uruguayan striker Darwin Nunez during the ongoing summer transfer window.

Al-Hilal's management has successfully agreed with Nunez on all personal terms, and direct negotiations with Liverpool have begun regarding the financial value required to complete the deal.

Al-Hilal is seeking to strengthen its attacking line after its negotiations with Victor Osimhen stalled, placing Nunez as its primary attacking priority in its plans for the upcoming season.

Italian journalist Luis Gerardi confirmed via the "X" platform that negotiations between Al-Hilal and Liverpool are progressing well, and the deal could close for 65 million euros.

Nunez has a contract with Liverpool that extends until June 2028, and his market value is estimated at 45 million euros, according to Transfermarkt.
