Mimi, who is 26 years old, became a free agent after the end of his contract with Al-Shorta Club on June 30, but he continued to represent the team until his farewell to the Iraqi Cup in the semifinals in mid-July. The player received the Dibba Al-Fujairah offer coinciding with the end of his official association, as the UAE club seeks to strengthen its squad with elements capable of avoiding relegation and achieving stability in the Professional League.

According to informed sources, Mimi has been informed of a pivotal role he will play in the team's lineup, which has prompted him to seriously consider taking on this experience, which could make him the first Iraqi player to successfully leave his mark in the UAE league, following unsuccessful experiences for Ayman Hussein and Younis Mahmoud earlier.

The player has completed most of the legal procedures related to the contract, and he is expected to start his training in the UAE very soon, as he hopes that this experience will be a significant milestone in his professional career, especially after a season where he shone remarkably with the Green Lantern, scoring 26 goals in the Iraqi Stars League, alongside his international tally of 20 goals in 57 matches with the Iraqi national team.
