Darwin Nunez Opens Door for Move to Al-Hilal After Diminishing Chances in Europe
Sunday 03-08-2025
Darwin Nunez, the Uruguayan forward for Liverpool and the national team, has expressed his readiness to join Al-Hilal Saudi Club during the current summer transfer window, as his chances of remaining in Europe have diminished.

Sources within Liverpool have indicated that discussions are ongoing with Al-Hilal's management regarding the deal, and a preliminary agreement has been reached with the player concerning personal terms, although the final agreement between the two clubs has yet to be finalized.

This shift comes after Nunez became aware of Liverpool's future plans, which do not include him, especially following the signing of new players, most notably Wirtz and Ekitike, in addition to the club's interest in signing Swedish striker Alexander Isak.

Despite Nunez's desire to continue his career in Europe, the offers presented to him have not met Liverpool's financial expectations, as negotiations with Napoli failed due to the Italian club's inability to meet the asking price, which exceeds £60 million.

Nunez realizes that his European options have become limited, which has made him open to the prospect of moving to the Saudi league, especially given the significant appreciation he receives from Al-Hilal.
