Media figure Ahmed Hassan, a former Zamalek star, revealed that Imam Ashour, the Al Ahly star, received an offer from one of the French clubs.
Hassan stated via Facebook: "Exclusive.. Imam Ashour received an offer from one of the French league clubs, but it was rejected due to the low financial compensation, in addition to Al Ahly's insistence on keeping the player and agreeing to adjust his salary."
On another note, Al Ahly will face Modern Sport on Saturday, August 9, in the first round of the Egyptian Premier League.
The match will kick off at 8 PM Cairo and Mecca time.
