Global media reports revealed today, Saturday, a new development regarding the future of Congolese striker Yoane Wissa, a Brentford player, as he is nearing a departure from the team during the current summer transfer window.

According to transfer market specialist journalist Ben Jacobs, Brentford's management is no longer adamant about keeping Wissa and has changed its stance to be open to the idea of selling him this summer, after previously insisting on his continuation.

Jacobs clarified via his official account on the 'X' platform that Wissa missed the recent friendly match against Queens Park Rangers, as discussions are ongoing between the player and the club to finalize the arrangements for his departure during this month of August.

This development coincides with Newcastle United's desire to make a new offer to acquire the Congolese striker, who prefers to play for a club participating in the Champions League next season.
