Moroccan international Anas Zarouri is close to embarking on a new experience in the Greek league, through the gateway of Panathinaikos, where his compatriot Azeddine Ounahi played last season on loan.

According to media reports, including transfer expert journalist Sasha Tavolieri, the management of Panathinaikos has successfully concluded negotiations with their counterparts at French club Lens for the loan of Zarouri for one season, with an option to buy.

The deal, which is nearing official announcement, gives Zarouri a new opportunity to showcase his potential outside the atmosphere of the French league "Ligue 1", especially given the competitiveness of the Greek Super League in recent years.

The financial details of the deal have not yet been disclosed, but the understanding between the two clubs has been achieved, according to the same sources, and only the completion of the official procedures remains before the deal is officially announced.

Anas Zarouri, 23 years old, has a promising professional career, having previously played in Belgium and England, and has participated with the Moroccan national team in the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, being viewed as one of the most prominent rising talents in Europe.
