Flick Decides on Firmin Lopez's Departure Amid Manchester United Interest

German coach Hans Flick has made his stance clear regarding the departure of midfielder Firmin Lopez during the current summer transfer window, amid interest from Manchester United in signing the player.

According to the Spanish newspaper "Sport", Manchester United is planning to make a formal offer of 70 million euros to acquire Firmin Lopez, with initial approval from Barcelona's management. The player's contract with the Catalan club runs until June 30, 2029.

Meanwhile, the newspaper "Mundo Deportivo" clarified that Flick rejects the idea of parting ways with Lopez, due to his strong admiration for the player's abilities and his value as a versatile player, capable of playing both left-back and midfield.

The newspaper pointed out that Flick contacted Lopez as soon as reports about his departure emerged, asking him to stay, which the player agreed to, confirming his desire to succeed within the ranks of Barcelona.

It is worth mentioning that Firmin Lopez, who is 22 years old, has participated in 88 matches wearing the Barcelona jersey, during which he scored 19 goals and provided 11 assists.
