Reports today, Saturday, indicate that the Italian club AC Milan has joined the race to sign Uruguayan striker Darwin Nunez, a player for Liverpool, during the current summer transfer window.

The trusted Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio revealed through his official account on the platform 'X' that there is a strong desire from the Rossoneri management to sign Nunez to bolster the attack for the upcoming season.

Di Marzio explained that Nunez tops Milan's list of targets, which also includes Serbian Dusan Vlahovic, the Juventus striker, noting that negotiations remain complicated, especially with interest from Saudi club Al-Hilal.

Reports had confirmed that Al-Hilal is seeking to sign Nunez at the request of coach Simone Inzaghi, to replace Alexander Mitrovic, while the player's name was previously linked to a move to Napoli, before the deal stalled due to Liverpool's high financial demands.

It is worth noting that Darwin Nunez joined Liverpool in the summer of 2022 from Portuguese club Benfica and is contracted with the Reds until the summer of 2028.
