Liverpool FC has announced the new numbers that the new players will wear in the team, along with some changes to the shirt numbers of its young players, as part of its preparations for the start of the 2025/2026 season.

Left-back Milos Kerkez from Hungary will wear shirt number 6, while Dutch player Frimpong has chosen shirt number 30, the same number he wore at Bayer Leverkusen. Forward Hugo Ekitike will don shirt number 22 with the Reds.

In goalkeeping, Georgian Mamardashvili will wear number 25, while Englishman Freddie Woodman will have number 28, and young goalkeeper Armin Bietsch will wear shirt number 41.

One of the most notable changes is Florian Wirtz, the former Bayer Leverkusen star, receiving shirt number 7, which became vacant after Luis Diaz's transfer to Bayern Munich, reflecting the club's confidence in the young German player to be a key attacking player.

The changes also included some rising team members, as Conor Bradley switched to wearing shirt number 12 instead of 84, while Trey Nyoni received number 42 instead of 98, indicating their establishment within the first team.
