Atletico Madrid Announces Player Transfer to Villarreal
Atletico Madrid announced today, Friday, the official transfer of their Uruguayan player Santiago Mourinho to Villarreal.
The statement read: "Atletico Madrid and Villarreal have reached an agreement regarding the transfer of Santiago Mourinho to the yellow team."
It continued: "The 23-year-old center-back joined our club in the summer of 2023 from Racing de Montevideo and was loaned to Real Zaragoza that season, where he played 28 matches. Last season, he played with Deportivo Alaves, where he participated in 27 matches in La Liga."
It concluded: "We wish Santiago Mourinho good luck in this new stage of his career."
