Barcelona Reaches Agreement with Eric Garcia to Renew Contract

The Spanish club Barcelona has reached a formal agreement with its defender Eric Garcia to renew his contract, as confirmed by the Spanish newspaper "Sport".

It is noted that Garcia's current contract ends in the summer of 2026, but the two parties have reached an agreement to extend it for an additional 5 years, keeping the player linked to the club until 2030.

Garcia was close to leaving Barcelona a few months ago, but German coach Hans Flick gave the player his full confidence after he proved his ability to play in multiple positions on the field.

The 24-year-old player participated in 45 matches during the past season across all competitions, managing to score 5 goals and provide 3 assists, and he also played several matches in the defensive midfielder position, which prompted Flick to confirm his desire for him to stay, due to his tactical versatility and intelligence on the field.
