Aston Villa Requests to Sign Porto Forward
Reports have revealed that English club Aston Villa has made an official request to Portuguese club Porto to begin negotiations for the Spanish forward Samu Aguéjo during the current summer transfer window.
This move by Aston Villa comes in search of strengthening their attack amid the uncertainty surrounding the future of Ollie Watkins.
Samu, who is 21 years old, joined Porto in the summer of 2024 from Atlético Madrid for around 32 million euros, and has since managed to score 27 goals and provide 3 assists in 45 official matches during the 2024/2025 season.
According to Sky Sports, Porto does not mind selling the player, but insists on receiving no less than 55 million pounds, especially considering his significant importance to the club's president. The Portuguese club bases its valuation on the total deal for Gyökeres, which was around 74 million euros.
