A Dual Struggle for the Succession of Bin Nafal at Al-Hilal
Wednesday 30-07-2025
Suleiman Al-Hatlani, a member of the Board of Directors of Al-Hilal Club, is set to enter the race for the club's presidency after the current president, Fahd Bin Nafal, announced his unwillingness to run for another term, as confirmed in an official post on the 'X' platform.

The 'Asharq Al-Awsat' newspaper revealed that Al-Hatlani will officially submit his candidacy file once the current term ends, joining Hamad Mousa Al-Malik, who is currently considered the frontrunner to take over the role following Bin Nafal.

While movements within the club are accelerating to choose the new president, sources indicate that Abdul Majid Al-Haqbani, the Vice President of Al-Hilal Club Company, will not participate in the competition despite his current position within the administration.

Bin Nafal's withdrawal from the presidential race marks the end of a successful administrative era that lasted six years, during which Al-Hilal won numerous championships, both domestically and in Asia, making him one of the most successful presidents in the club's history.

All eyes are now on Al-Hatlani and Al-Malik, amid public anticipation to find out who will lead the next phase, with great aspirations to continue achievements and enhance Al-Hilal's position on both local and international stages.
