Newcastle United Moves to Sign Lunin and Real Madrid Rejects the Offer
Wednesday 30-07-2025
Reports have revealed that English club Newcastle United has made an official offer to sign Ukrainian goalkeeper Andriy Lunin, a Real Madrid player, during the current summer transfer window.

According to the website 'Football Spain', Newcastle offered to acquire Lunin on loan for 3 million euros, but the royal club immediately rejected the offer, confirming that the goalkeeper is not available for sale or loan at this time.

This move comes amid doubts about Lunin's future with Real Madrid, as he desires to gain more playing minutes, which seems difficult with the presence of first-choice goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois.

It is noted that Lunin, who is 26 years old, joined Real Madrid in the summer of 2018 from Zorya Luhansk and has been loaned to several clubs before settling into the first team since 2020.

Lunin participated in 14 matches across various competitions last season, during which he conceded 19 goals, and renewed his contract with the club last September until 2028.
