Bayern Munich has officially announced the signing of Colombian star Luis Diaz, winger of Liverpool FC, during the ongoing summer transfer window, to strengthen the team's ranks.
Diaz was under contract with Liverpool until June 30, 2027, amid significant interest from several major European clubs, most notably Barcelona, but the Bavarian club succeeded in securing the deal in their favor.
Bayern Munich clarified in its official statement on its website that it has completed the signing of Luis Diaz, without disclosing the financial details, while media reports indicated that the player signed a contract extending until June 30, 2029, for 75 million euros.
Diaz is expected to wear the number 14 shirt with Bayern Munich, a number previously worn by former star Xabi Alonso during his time with the team.
It is worth noting that Luis Diaz participated in 148 matches wearing the Liverpool jersey across all competitions, scoring 41 goals and providing 23 assists.
