Inter Milan continues its efforts to sign Nigerian Ademola Lookman, the Atalanta striker, during the current summer transfer window, as negotiations between the two parties remain ongoing without reaching a final agreement so far.

According to the "Football Italy" website, Inter Milan's president, Beppe Marotta, met with Luca Percassi, the CEO of Atalanta, on Tuesday during a meeting of the Italian League Council, where crucial talks regarding the deal are expected to take place.

The report indicated that Inter is preparing to make a new and improved offer to acquire the 27-year-old player, with Atalanta demanding 50 million euros. Estimates suggest that an offer of 45 million euros plus 5 million euros in add-ons could bridge the gap between the two sides.

On his part, Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano revealed that Inter has already made an official offer valued at 40 million euros plus 5 million in variables, but Atalanta is still holding firm to its financial demands, and the agreement has not yet been finalized.

It is worth noting that Lookman joined Atalanta in 2022 and has succeeded in scoring 52 goals in 118 matches he played with the team across various competitions.
