Saudi Clubs Eye Greenwood After His Stellar Performance with Marseille
Tuesday 29-07-2025
French newspaper "L'Équipe" reported that English star Mason Greenwood, striker for Marseille, has caught the attention of a prominent Saudi club that has shown significant interest in signing him during the current transfer window.

Although the name of the Saudi club has not been disclosed, sources indicate that any potential deal for Greenwood would require a substantial financial offer, given his technical value and status in the French league.

Greenwood finished last season as the top scorer in the French league, tied with Ousmane Dembélé, after scoring 28 goals, which significantly increased his market value.

The reasons for the player's price hike include his young age of 23, his offensive prowess, and the fact that Manchester United owns half of the value of any future sale according to the agreement with Marseille.

Greenwood moved to Marseille in the summer of 2024 from Manchester United for 30 million euros, including bonuses, after the criminal charges against him were dropped.
