The club mentioned in its official statement that the surgery was performed under the supervision of Dr. Amélie Le Gleyze and monitored by the club's medical staff at the Bordeaux Mérignac sports clinic.

The club confirmed that the German goalkeeper will be out of the team's plans for the upcoming period, as the timing of his return to the pitch will depend on how well he responds to the recovery program he will undergo in the coming days.

According to several media reports, the German goalkeeper will need 3 months to recover from this injury.

It is worth noting that Ter Stegen is out of the Catalan club's plans, as coach Hans Flick has decided to rely on Juan Garcia as the starter for the upcoming season.
