Hector Fort, the young right-back of FC Barcelona, insists on remaining with the Catalan team, despite recent news regarding the possibility of his departure during the current summer transfer window.

Fort was one of four players who did not participate in Barcelona's first friendly match this summer against Vissel Kobe from Japan, which increased speculation about his future.

The Spanish newspaper "Marca" reported that the 18-year-old player rejected an offer to leave in the summer of 2024, holding on to his desire to stay at Barcelona, with ambitions to prove himself under the new coach Hans Flick during the upcoming 2025/2026 season.

The newspaper noted that Fort does not represent a significant financial burden on Barcelona's wage structure, making his sale not a priority for the management at this time.

Fort is a graduate of the La Masia academy and made his first-team debut in the 2023/2024 season under former coach Xavi Hernandez, with his current contract with the club extending until 2029.

Fort played 21 matches with Barcelona in various competitions last season, without scoring or assisting any goals.
