The Italian club Parma announced its official position regarding the interest of Saudi club Al-Hilal in signing its young defender Giovanni Leoni, confirming its full commitment to the player and rejecting any transfer offers at this time.

In exclusive statements to the Saudi newspaper "Al-Riyadiyah", Federico Cherubini, the CEO of Parma, clarified that the club's management does not consider parting ways with Leoni, despite the increasing offers and interest from several clubs.

Cherubini confirmed that Leoni will continue his journey with the team in the upcoming season, indicating that the club considers him one of the key pillars of its sports project, and there is no intention to allow his transfer to Al-Hilal or any other club.

Reports had recently linked Leoni's name with Al-Hilal, in addition to interest from European clubs such as Liverpool, Inter Milan, and AC Milan, due to his remarkable defensive abilities despite his young age.

Leoni is 18 years old and joined Parma in the summer of 2024 from Sampdoria, holding a contract that extends until June 2029, with a market value estimated at 18 million euros according to Transfermarkt.
