The Spanish coach Pep Guardiola, the manager of Manchester City, has decided his future with the team, confirming his intention to leave after the end of his current phase with the English club.

Guardiola said in his statements: "I will leave after this phase with City, this is a confirmed decision."

He added: "I will take a break for a year or much longer, I need to stop working and take care of myself and my body."

He continued: "I went through the same situation when I retired, and when I left Barcelona as a coach, it was my mind that was asking me to stop continuing in my mission, and I believe I stopped at the right time."

The Spanish coach confirmed: "I will be satisfied with that much after the end of my phase with Manchester City, and I will definitely look for another place and a different challenge."

Regarding the criticisms he faces, Guardiola said: "Certainly, there are those who want me to fail and criticize me, but this gives me the strength and energy to achieve successes; I believe I need such motivations in big competitions to showcase my abilities and what I can do."

He concluded his statements by talking about team management: "I choose 11 players out of 23 every 3 days to start the match; the substitutes think that I don't like them, and that's not true, I love them more because I suffer because of them when I choose the starting players, thus conflicts will always exist."
