Sunday 27-07-2025
FC Barcelona issued an official statement explaining the reasons that led it to transfer the broadcast of the team's match against Vissel Kobe of Japan to the YouTube platform, following a widespread cyber attack on its official platforms.

Barcelona, led by its German coach Hans Flick, is playing its first preparatory match for the new season 2025/2026 as part of the Asian tour, facing Vissel Kobe in a strong friendly encounter.

The Catalan club indicated in its statement that its broadcasting platforms were subjected to an attempted hacking by unknown pages that tried to steal the live broadcast of the match, causing immense pressure on the website and the Culers app.

Barcelona clarified that necessary electronic protection mechanisms were activated; however, this affected the quality of the broadcast through the official platforms, prompting the club to decide to publicly stream the match via YouTube to ensure its accessibility to fans.

The club concluded its statement by apologizing for any inconvenience caused by this situation, affirming that it will communicate with all affected parties to ensure the problem is resolved.
