Reliable journalist Fabrizio Romano reported that Everton has entered advanced negotiations to sign Malick Fofana, the Malian winger from Olympique Lyonnais, in a deal that could reach 50 million euros.

This move is part of coach David Moyes's plan to refresh the team and reduce the average age of the players in preparation for the upcoming season of the Premier League.

Fofana, who is 20 years old, caught attention last season with Lyon by scoring 11 goals and providing 5 assists in 41 matches, making him a target for several European clubs, including Liverpool and Chelsea, but Everton seems to be the closest to finalizing the deal, especially given the financial crisis facing the French club.

Everton recently signed Thierno Balde from Villarreal and is also close to acquiring left-back Adam Aznou from Bayern Munich. Fofana is considered a strong potential addition to the team's attack, pending the finalization of personal terms with the young player.
