The newspaper "Asharq Al-Awsat" reported that the clubs Al-Shabab and Al-Ittifaq are still awaiting the green light from the relevant authorities to start the procedures for their inclusion in the project for the privatization of Saudi sports clubs.

According to the report, the file for the privatization of the two clubs is still under study, as the step is subject to a comprehensive evaluation by the concerned authorities before any official decision is made.

Although both clubs are ready to enter the privatization project, the relevant authorities prefer to be cautious and not rush to ensure the smoothness of the process in a way that serves the future of sports.

Al-Shabab and Al-Ittifaq may follow a different path from other clubs that have recently entered the privatization stages, adding a uniqueness to their current situation.

These movements come as part of the Kingdom's vision to develop the sports sector, transforming clubs into investment entities that contribute to enhancing competitiveness and financial sustainability.
