Moroccan Local Team Falls in Friendly Match Against Burkina Faso

The Moroccan national local team suffered a defeat against its Burkinabe counterpart with a score of 3-1, in the friendly match held yesterday evening, Friday, at the municipal stadium in Kenitra, as part of the preparations for the "local lions" for the Africa Cup of Nations for local players (CHAN).

The Burkinabe team scored the opening goal in the first half, then added two more goals in the second half, while player Anas Al-Mahrawi scored the only goal for the Moroccan team in the 67th minute.

This friendly match is part of the intensive preparations of the national players for the CHAN 2024 competitions, scheduled to take place in Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania from August 2 to 30.

The tournament draw placed the Moroccan team in Group A alongside the teams of Kenya, Angola, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, and Zambia.
