Uncertainty Surrounds Antony's Future with Manchester United Amid European and Saudi Interest
Friday 25-07-2025
The future of Brazilian winger Antony, a player for Manchester United, is still unclear as he has fallen out of coach Ruben Amorim's plans, and his situation has not been resolved yet.

Antony transferred to Manchester United in the summer of 2022 from Ajax Amsterdam in a deal worth around £86 million. Last January, the player joined Real Betis in Spain on loan, where he excelled in the Andalusian team's jersey, participating in 26 matches, scoring 9 goals, and providing 5 assists.

According to Sky Sports, Real Betis wishes to loan the player again this summer, but they do not have the financial capacity to buy him permanently, while Manchester United management prefers to sell the player outright.

The network noted that there is interest from several major European clubs, most notably Bayern Munich, Atletico Madrid, and Bayer Leverkusen, although negotiations have not yet entered the formal stage.

The report added that a move for Antony to the Saudi league remains a viable option if he does not reach an agreement with any European clubs, with interest from two clubs in the Roshan League in acquiring the player, whose market value is estimated at €35 million, according to Transfermarkt.

Since joining Manchester United, Antony has played 96 matches across all competitions, scoring 12 goals and assisting 5 others.
