Khaled Beebo Comments on Al Ahly's Handling of Wissam Abu Ali's Crisis
Khaled Beebo, the former Al Ahly star, spoke about the club's handling of the recent crisis involving Wissam Abu Ali.
Beebo said during the program "Al Laeeb" on MBC Masr channel: "Al Ahly dealt with the Wissam Abu Ali file with great professionalism, benefiting from the player both technically and financially, but the player decided that he does not want to continue, and that is his right."
He added: "Wissam Abu Ali's apology is primarily directed to Al Ahly's fans, who supported and loved him in a very short time, and the fans are the ones who truly deserve the apology."
He continued: "The letter that came from the Palestinian Federation was a bit strange, and it made Wissam come out to apologize and reconsider his decisions."
He concluded: "Al Ahly could have kept Wissam Abu Ali, even if he received an offer at the number he wanted, but the club chose to let him go in a professional and respectful manner."
