Officially: Juventus Announces the Signing of Joao Mario from Porto
The Italian club Juventus has announced its signing of Portuguese right-back Joao Mario from Porto, with a contract that extends until June 30, 2030, marking the player's first professional experience outside his home country.
Joao Mario, who is 25 years old, joined Porto's academy at the age of eight and progressed through the ranks until reaching the first team, where he played 181 matches, scoring 5 goals and providing 25 assists in all competitions.
Mario has won nine domestic titles with Porto and was a key player in the team that won the UEFA Youth League title in 2019. He made his debut with the Portugal national team in November 2023 against Liechtenstein.
