A number of analysts believe that Italian Matteo Retegui, the new addition to Al-Qadisiyah, will be one of the main competitors for the title of top scorer in the Saudi Professional League next season.

Retegui enters the Roshan League with an impressive scoring record, having been crowned top scorer in the Italian league last season after scoring 25 goals for his former club.

Despite his successes in Europe, Retegui faces a tough test in competing against Portuguese Cristiano Ronaldo, the captain of Al-Nassr, who has topped the scoring charts in the past two seasons.

Ronaldo won the top scorer title two seasons ago with 35 goals, and then returned in the last season to share the top spot with 25 goals, making him the biggest obstacle for Retegui in his new journey.
