The American club Los Angeles continues its serious efforts to sign South Korean star Heung-Min Son, a player for Tottenham Hotspur, during the current summer transfer window, according to the website "The Athletic."

The report clarified that negotiations between the American club and Son began some time ago, in an attempt to convince him to join the team, especially in light of expectations that the new Tottenham coach, Thomas Frank, will not rely on the player as a key figure.

The report pointed out that Son, who is 33 years old, has significant commercial appeal, particularly since the city of Los Angeles has the largest Korean community in the United States, which enhances the value of the deal from a marketing perspective.

However, it is unlikely that Son will leave Tottenham before the team completes its preparatory tour for the new season, which includes a friendly match against Newcastle in South Korea on August 3rd, as his absence from the tour could result in the English club losing about 75% of the deal's value.

It is worth noting that Son joined Tottenham in the summer of 2015 from Bayer Leverkusen and is contracted with the Spurs until the summer of 2026. The player participated in 46 matches during the last season, scoring 11 goals and providing 12 assists.
